Junior/Senior Scholarship

Case Alumni Association and the Scholarship Committee are proud to oversee the selection of Junior/Senior Scholarship recipients every spring. This longstanding tradition awards funds to deserving Case students based on merit, need and personal skills. Awards are made possible by the generous donations of alumni, many of whom received this very same scholarship as students at Case.

Student Qualifications:

  • Rising sophomore or junior; any awarded funds are applied the year after the student has been selected for a scholarship
  • Pursuing a B.S. in engineering, math or the applied sciences
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Nominated by a department chair or academic adviser
  • Citizen of the United States of America
  • Not receiving a Smith-Treuhaft Scholarship or a full-tuition waiver

Students interested in applying for a Junior/Senior Scholarship may want to contact their department chair or advisor toward the end of the first academic semester.

After being nominated by a department chair or academic advisor:

  • Students will receive notification of nomination via email from the Case Alumni Association.
  • To accept this nomination and be considered for a scholarship, students must submit the nomination form and authorization of release of information form attached to the notification email.
  • Selected students will be invited to be interviewed by members of the Scholarship Committee of the Case Alumni Association.
  • Students will be notified of scholarship awards by the Case Alumni Association after interviews have been completed.

Scholarship renewal and terms:

  • Sophomore scholarship recipients are entitled to receive the Junior/Senior Scholarship for a total of four semesters while taking at least 12 credit hours of undergraduate coursework per semester on the Case Western Reserve University campus. A renewal process is required to receive the final two semesters of funding.
