Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest 2009

The Case Alumni Association hosted the 4th annual Oktoberfest celebration on campus October 24th, 2009.  This event was held in conjunction with Homecoming/Alumni Weekend festivities. CAA’s tent featured German food, beer, and polka music. Corn hole and other games were played.

The event marked the launch of the new Case Games, featuring the trebuchet launch. A trebuchet is a gravity-powered catapult, which was used extensively in the Middle Ages. At its most basic, a trebuchet is simply a lever that uses centrifugal force to its advantage. The trebuchet also uses centrifugal force to launch the projectile.  We would like to congratulate Jeff and Ben Tanchon with an original distance of 3’ 6” from the bulls eye and a launchoff (tie-breaker) distance of 5’ 8” from the bulls eye!
