CAA Featured Scholarship Recipient
Noel Eswanna '12
Noel Esenwa from Staten Island, New York is a recently admitted sophomore majoring in aerospace engineering. While enrolled in the State University of New York at Fredonia's honors program as a physics and chemistry double major, he maintained 3.55 GPA, was a fervent member of the Physics and Engineering Society, The Black Student Union and served as vice president of the Brother 2 Brother Organization. Noel also achieved the Dean's List distinction and was nominated as the school's tutor for physics, mathematics, and chemistry. During his academic career at Case Western Reserve University he aspires to hold leadership positions in the National Society for Black Engineers, the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and the Student Leadership Journey Council. For leisure, Noel enjoys performing poetry at local spoken word clubs. Upon completing the five year BS/MS program, he intends to pursue a doctorate degree in a metallurgical and materials engineering at Case Western Reserve University. He is extremely passionate for the underprivileged and hopes to one day organize several foundations and programs to support the struggles of single parents, orphaned children and the homeless.
