The Art of Networking

Diane Darling, author of “The Networking Survival Guide,” spoke to the guests on the importance of networking and gave some great tips on how to “work a room”. After the presentation, the guests asked many thought-provoking questions about online networking and best practices. The group also had an open discussion about social networking online with applications such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. 

  

Old Friends, New Discoveries, and Future Dreams

The Case Club of Boston met on Thursday September 25, 2008 at Vllora Restaurant in the Back Bay.  The room was filled with alumni from the university who came out to mix and mingle and listen to Dr. Gary Wnek speak about entrepreneurship on campus.  Joel Schwartz ’64, Vice President and General Manager of Common Storage Platform Operations at EMC Corporation, graciously hosted the event.  In addition to Joel, the EMC Corporation family was well represented by other alumni too.  The evening was lighthearted and fun and went into the late hours of the night.
